A customer in Charleston, SC, didn’t have access to their loading dock ramp without having to traverse to the top or bottom of the ramp. The ramp also had handrails all the way up both sides.
This customer required a safe and accessible egress point at the top of the stationary loading dock ramp. The walking up and down the ramp was taking extra time and delaying efficiency and progress to loading and unloading, not to mention tiring out the work staff.
Simple measurements were taken to develop and deliver a customized Dock Access Platform Stairway.
The final result was an OSHA-approved Platform Stairway made of aluminum, which could withstand the Charleston area’s common humid environment.
After a few quick cutting alterations to the dock handrails, the stairway was anchored into place. Easy access was given to the loading ramp.
