48″ Wide Industrial Shelving yields more shelf space for long, awkward items. Order one starter unit and the balance as adders to make up a row of shelving. 600 lb. shelf capacity.
This steel shelving starter ships unassembled. This 5-shelf steel shelving unit assembles easily in the field. Use this starter unit either alone or combine it with other 12-inch-deep shelving. Add-On units to create a long run of industrial metal shelving.
It is strongly recommended that each steel shelving unit be properly anchored. Make sure to install your 5-tier metal shelf plumb and level before anchoring it to the floor and/or wall. Use the Upright-to-Floor Angle and a Concrete Wedge Anchor to anchor your uprights to the floor. Anchoring your shelving helps prevent tipping and allows you to take full advantage of the weight capacities.
OPEN OR CLOSED SHELVING
Open shelving allows more visibility to stored products. A cross brace on both sides as well as on the back helps stabilize the unit from swaying. Closed shelving helps to better contain items within a set space. Closed shelving features 24-gauge back and side sheets to completely enclose the shelving unit.
