Description
Eagle-Grip® 2 Series Attachments feature an articulating clamping mechanism for handling a steel, plastic or fiber drum and require hydraulic or electrical connections to the lift truck.
The articulating heads permit the operator to pick up misaligned or slightly separated drums and provide a higher degree of safety by dividing the weight exerted on the drums’ chime.
All Eagle-Grip® clamping mechanisms are completely mechanical, requiring no electrical or hydraulic connections to the lift truck. The articulating or swivel feature of the EG2 heads permit pickup of drums that are misaligned and slightly separated from one another.
Standard belt bases support the lower side of the drum, eliminating dents or cosmetic marring. Optional non-sparking clamps are available for handling drums in hazardous areas.
The totally enclosed fork pockets and OSHA requirement safety chain allows the operator to secure the attachment to the lift truck in seconds. This model is available as a single drum attachment, double drum attachment and as a carriage mount that fits all lift trucks and walkie stackers. Capacity: 1000 lb/ 453 kg per drum.

SRC OPTION: All metal surfaces which can contact a drum being lifted or released are non-ferrous stainless steel with non-sparking alloy clamping jaws. Includes an anti-static rubber belt which rests against the lower side of the drum when lifted.
QUICK-CLAW OPTION: Eliminates the need for operator dismount from the lift truck to install the OSHA requirement safety chain. Quick-Claw Cam Locks automatically lock the attachment onto the lift truck blades when the attachment is lifted. A safety chain does not come with the Quick-Claw option. Fork pockets extension is to 43″ in length.
