A gravity flow racking system has levels that are offset so that the back of a level is higher than the front. When someone takes the item in the front, the rest of the items will slide forward. This will allow items to always be at the front. You can use a gravity flow rack in a warehouse to make picking items easier. Workers won’t have to strain and reach for items on the backside of a rack level. Built from our bulk storage racks, these heavy-duty gravity flow racks are easy to assemble and support 3,000 lbs per level.
WELDED UPRIGHTS
Our heavy-duty gravity flow racks include two fully welded uprights made of 14-gauge steel. These storage rack uprights feature tubular bracing that is MIG welded to the post for added stability. The slots of the uprights provide a quick and easy vertical adjustment of beams to create optimal storage solutions. There are also no “dead spots” in the upright posts to disrupt your placement of beams along the entire height of the post. One pair of bulk storage rack uprights can hold up to 10,000 lbs. Uprights are available in either 72″h or 84″h sizes.
HEAVY DUTY BEAMS
These heavy-duty gravity flow racks include eight beams so you can create four levels. They are made of 14-gauge steel. Our unique “Z” beam design increases the strength and load capacity of the steel beams while also resisting tipping and eliminating wasted space. The MIG-welded beam clips give added strength. Each end of the beam has three studs to engage the heavy-duty metal rack upright slots. Easily adjust the beams on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers. Since the beams install without tools, it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change. A fold in lock tab easily engages with the post to prevent accidental displacement. Each pair of 48-inch-wide heavy-duty beams can hold up to 3,000 lbs.
WIRE DECKING
The gravity flow racks also include wire decking. Our wire decking on these gravity-fed storage racks features waterfall edges. The back edge sits on the beam and helps keep the decking from shifting down. The front edge is curled up so it prevents items from sliding off the rack. The wire decking sits in the lip of the beam to keep it in place. This strong decking can handle heavy items. The galvanized finish is resistant to corrosion.
RACK ANCHORING FOOT
Bulk storage rack anchoring foot to anchor your storage rack upright assembly to the floor. The foot bolts directly to the bulk storage rack upright. There is an integrated footplate. There is a hole in the footplate that accepts a concrete wedge anchor. We do not include concrete wedge anchors with the anchor foot
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
While our heavy-duty gravity flow racks ship unassembled, you can put them together with ease. We strongly recommend that you properly anchor all gravity-fed racking systems. Make sure your metal storage racks are installed plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. We also include bulk storage rack anchor feet with this rack.
