Bobby Riggs was born and raised in Charleston SC. He graduated in 1971 with a BS in Marketing from the University of South Carolina. Go Cocks! Happily married to his beautiful wife and father to their son and daughter. Bobby’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, and all sports played by the Gamecocks. He loves his family and so enjoyed coaching his kids as they grew up from an early age to high school.
He was employed as a salesman in 1971 for a metal fabrication company covering the eastern U.S. So, his customers were mostly in the manufacturing sector of textiles and the tire industry. In 1978, he founded Custom Equipment Company as a Distributor and Manufacture’s representative for all industries. Thus, he enjoys creating products that benefit our customers throughout the US and beyond.

Heather was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She moved to South Carolina when she was three years old. After graduating from Stratford High School, she went on to graduate from Trident Technical College where she studied bookkeeping. She began working with Custom Equipment Company in June 2012.
Heather is responsible for oversight of company operations. She handles all Operating Procedures, Accounting and Human Resources. She currently lives in Summerville, SC with her husband and their three children. They also have two Boxers, Sophie and Penny and a Yorkie, Oliver. In her spare time she enjoys running and coaching her children’s soccer teams. She also loves to craft and make shirts.
Robbie Lewis is a 1996 Graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Business. Upon graduating, he began his sales career with Ferguson Enterprises working his way from inside sales to outside sales. He was responsible for starting and promoting a new business development unit with the newly formed underground utilities division in Bluffton, SC. Leaving this position in 2004, he set off to pursue an opportunity with a smaller family owned business called Custom Equipment Company, which is where he remains today.
Robbie has continued his passion for business development through business to business relationships which he considers ‘Partnerships’. He brings value to his customers by providing a supply chain that not only delivers high quality products, but reliable delivery as well. He has built a strong knowledge and emphasis in our industry fields. These include returnable packaging, ergonomics, storage solutions and material handling as a whole. He likes to be the “GO TO GUY” when someone needs help with any new projects or problems they are having. He looks forward to bringing value to you through comprehensive analysis, consultation and solutions.
Outside of his professional life, he has been happily married since 2004. He adores his wife and 2 wonderful children. Both are in grade school and fill up their remaining time outside school. However, when Robbie has time he likes to golf, hunt, serve in his community and attend USC football games. Go Cocks!
Bud Moore was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC and attended the University of South Carolina. He graduated in 1972 with a BA in History and Business and went right to work. Since graduation he has been in and around the packaging business for the last 30+ years. This, after and while, serving in the National Guard. Bud Moore
He wanted to finish his career with a family owned company that he could bring value and expertise to. So he became a proud member of the CEC team. He has completed the Afflink Inc. packaging certification exam and was awarded Certified Packaging Specialist ( CPS ) certificate. He looks forward to bringing value to your organization by offering comprehensive solutions to any material handling and packaging needs you may have.
Brent Gibson is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina who transplanted to Charleston almost 5 years ago. Brent served in the Air Force and NC Air National Guard for almost a decade. After that, he worked inside and outside of the warehouse and flooring industries. Proficient in multiple areas at CEC, Brent consistently works to serve our customers in every aspect of his job.
He leads up our Logistics department, setting up shipping of customer orders from start to finish as well as handling many of the incoming orders from the Outside sales Team. He enjoys learning about the different products and systems within the Material Handling Industry. But his favorite part of the job is working with our customers to meet their needs and exceed their expectations!

Born in Asheville, NC, Brian moved to Charleston at the age of twenty-six. A change of scenery, from the mountains to the ocean, it was yet another life choice Brian will never regret. He served in administrative and management roles for a few years before joining the Custom Equipment family in November of 2020.
Responsible for marketing strategies, blogging and e-blasts. (Click HERE to subscribe to our Monthly E-blast Newsletter.) As well as assisting the team in many other areas and fields. Brian finds joy in learning and adapting to this new industry as he continues to grow to better understand it. Currently a resident of Hanahan, SC. He loves traveling and spending time with friends as, what he refers to himself as, an extreme extrovert.
He believes that this personality trait makes him a great asset to the team and to every customer and vendor that he has the opportunity to work with.

Paul Walker is a Custom Equipment Inside Sales Manager. He was born and raised in Salley, SC. He began his career in the construction field as a steamfitter/pipefitter while attending Local Union 150 Trade School in Augusta, GA. During the course of his tenure, Paul became involved in a more administrative roll. For the department, this mean applying various administrative skills. These include general accounting principles, budget control and monitoring. This also included overseeing equipment and material purchases. Also tools issuance/procurement, employee trainings for the department. Further, Tier II MSDS Chemical Coordinator which led to further advancement within the various sites.
After leaving in 1997, Paul chose a new career path and role as a sales coordinator with a material handling and equipment dealer in Columbia, SC. This new career path provided more opportunity, growth and knowledge in the material handling / equipment field which led to further advancement to roles of Senior Coordinator in Charlotte, NC and finally, Sales Admin Manager in Tampa, FL. After roughly 6 years, he gained employment in Charleston SC, as a Sales Coordinator which also lead to advancement to Senior Sales Coordinator which led to advancement as Sales Administrator.
Joining the Team
Upon leaving in September 2017, Paul ultimately found his new home here in Charleston, at Custom Equipment Company as an Inside Sales Representative.
Throughout his career, since stepping into the material handling arena, having gained vast experience, knowledge and skills, Paul worked with numerous customers, gaining their respect and providing solutions and products for their material handling needs. This new career path has provided a lot more insight into the material handling arena. It allows him to work more closely with customers on special projects and special equipment required for these projects. He is always striving to become their one stop provider of material handling products and solutions.
Throughout these career paths, providing solutions and products to customers, along with providing exceptional customer service has been the forefront. Each customer is important, treated with the utmost respect and their project, no matter how unique, is welcomed. Paul looks forward to any opportunity to serve, regardless if project is small or large. He hopes to provide solutions or products to all customers in any business sectors. Bringing value to their organization as well as welcome any opportunity to serve.
When not working, he likes to fish, hunt, bowl, travel and is an avid Clemson Tiger’s Fan. TIGER RAH!
