Paul Walker

Paul Walker is a Custom Equipment Inside Sales Manager. He was born and raised in Salley, SC. He began his career in the construction field as a steamfitter/pipefitter while attending Local Union 150 Trade School in Augusta, GA.  During the course of his tenure, Paul became involved in a more administrative roll.  For the department, this mean applying various administrative skills. These include general accounting principles, budget control and monitoring. This also included overseeing equipment and material purchases. Also tools issuance/procurement, employee trainings for the department. Further, Tier II MSDS Chemical Coordinator which led to further advancement within the various sites.

After leaving in 1997, Paul chose a new career path and role as a sales coordinator with a material handling and equipment dealer in Columbia, SC.  This new career path provided more opportunity, growth and knowledge in the material handling / equipment field which led to further advancement to roles of Senior Coordinator in Charlotte, NC and finally, Sales Admin Manager in Tampa, FL.  After roughly 6 years, he gained employment in Charleston SC, as a Sales Coordinator which also lead to advancement to Senior Sales Coordinator which led to advancement as Sales Administrator.

Joining the Team

Upon leaving in September 2017, Paul ultimately found his new home here in Charleston, at Custom Equipment Company as an Inside Sales Representative.

Throughout his career, since stepping into the material handling arena, having gained vast experience, knowledge and skills, Paul worked with numerous customers, gaining their respect and providing solutions and products for their material handling needs.  This new career path has provided a lot more insight into the material handling arena. It allows him to work more closely with customers on special projects and special equipment required for these projects. He is always striving to become their one stop provider of material handling products and solutions.

Throughout these career paths, providing solutions and products to customers, along with providing exceptional customer service has been the forefront.  Each customer is important, treated with the utmost respect and their project, no matter how unique, is welcomed.  Paul looks forward to any opportunity to serve, regardless if project is small or large.  He hopes to provide solutions or products to all customers in any business sectors. Bringing value to their organization as well as welcome any opportunity to serve.  

When not working, he likes to fish, hunt, bowl, travel and is an avid Clemson Tiger’s Fan.  TIGER RAH!
